Barcelona, welch eine beeindruckende Stadt, die alte und neue Architektur so eng und dicht zusammen zeigt. Eines der imposantesten modernen Gebäude ist sicherlich der Torre Agbar, ein Bürohaus, das 2005 fertiggestellt und von dem Architekten Jean Nouvel geplant wurde. 142 Meter erhebt sich die an die Sagrada Familia angelehnte Architektur über 32 Etagen in die Höhe. Vor allem ab 20.30 Uhr wird sie zu einem besonderen Spektakel, das Touristen und Fotografen anzieht, denn der Torre wird intensiv Rot und Blau von 4.500 Leuchtdioden angestrahlt und ist damit weithin sichtbar.

Nach einigen Aufnahmen mit Gesamt- und Teilansichten habe ich mir überlegt, wie ich dieses aus der Umgebung aufschießende und strahlende Highlight für mich interpretieren kann und dazu einen Wischeffekt gewählt. In dem kleinen Bild könnt ihr den Torre Agbar komplett sehen.

Barcelona, what an impressive town with its old and new architecture close on one place. One of the most imposing modern buildings is the Torre Agbar, an office building that was finished in 2005 planned by the architect Jean Nouvel. Followed by the well known Sagrada Familia (Gaudi) this architecture is 142 meters high and counts 32 floors. It becomes a really great spectacle in the night (8:30 p.m.) when it is illuminated by 4.500 LEDs and widely conspicuous.

After some pictures of the total and details I started to experiment and thought about how I would interpretate this towering and luminous highlight and have choosen a wiping effect that shows the vertical energy. You can see the whole Torre Agbar in the small picture beyond.
